Fr. Stephen Alwyn Pereira born on 16th Jan, 1981, made his First Religious Commitment in the Carmelite Order in 2000. Having obtained BPh from Pushpashrama, Institute of Philosophy and Religion, Mysore and BSc- Psychology from the University of Madras, he spent a year in Jagalur, Davanagere Mission Station. He joined St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bangalore for his Theological studies in 2005. During this time he served at St. John the Baptist Church, Vijaynagar, Bangalore. Having ordained Priest in 2009, he was appointed as Asst. Editor to Naman Ballok Jesu a Konkanni monthly published by the Infant Jesus Shrine, Mangalore. Presently he serves as the Chief Editor of the same. Fr. Stephen has two books in Kannada to his credit namely, Carmel Suma – Biography of all the Carmelite Saints and Yesuvinondige Kalvariyedege – 7 Creative reflections for Stations of the Cross.
